Pittsburgh, PA - Effective June 1, 2009, Jim Graf has been appointed President of CIS Office Installers, Inc.

After twenty-six years, CIS founder and owner John Vento says, “It’s time for new energy and leadership in order for our company to continue to succeed for many years to come”.  CIS has experienced annual sales and profit growth of 19% over the past three years.  With strong cash flow, an experienced, talented workforce, and recent major capital equipment investments, Vento feels the company is in a strong position to support new leadership.

John Vento will remain involved on a daily basis with CIS as Chief Executive Officer.  His primary focus will be new business development, but he will also explore increased web based marketing, and an expanded role for CIS in charitable endeavors. 

Jim has been an integral part of the CIS management staff team for nearly ten years.  A graduate of Slippery Rock University, he has spent his entire career in the office furniture industry. Jim Graf has earned the respect and trust of CIS associates, customers, and vendors alike.  “This is truly an incredible opportunity”, Graf comments, “John has built a great company around great people. I plan to continue that foundation, while implementing new technologies and procedures to improve our productivity and maintain our superior quality.”

CIS was subcontracted by prominent office furniture and supply dealership Nittany Office of State College, PA.  Nittany’s project team of Randy Smith & Sam Stitzer selected CIS because of their resources and experience with major projects.  CIS field supervisor Keith Tygielski has led an efficient team of CIS installers, charged with receiving, staging and installing over 300 Allsteel workstations in less than four weeks.  That’s fast track!

Allsteel, Nittany Office, and CIS Office Installers have joined forces to deliver a first class quality project for their client Penn State Outreach.   See photos below.

The photos below represent just a small portion of the responsibilities that CIS was assigned for the brand new GSA Veteran’s Administration Office and Patient Care Facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Led by CIS project managers Jim Gilmore and Jerry Hatok, the CIS team installed (90) patient rooms, (which included beds, dressers, mirrors, night stands , and accessories), (287) office workstations, hundreds of wall mounted pieces of art, (including a ceiling hung mobile which was forty five feet off the ground), along with all of the common area furnishings and shelving. This five month installation showcased the depth and skills of the CIS field staff.
